Staff/Cost Accountant
Department: Accounting
Reports to: Cost Accounting Manager
Position Summary: The primary duty of this position is the accurate and timely processing of financial inventory counts, inventory procedures, operations reporting, credit card administration, and other duties as assigned.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Inventory Control
- Prepare Weekly Operations Reports
- Month End Close
- Variance Analysis
- Account Reconciliations as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Multi-site Accounting preferred
- Manufacturing Accounting Experience Required
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make decisions in a timely fashion that are sound, accurate and supported by the reasoning and inclusion of appropriate people
- Must be able to interact well with others
- Must be able to prioritize and accomplish objectives in a timely fashion
Office Skills
- Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner
- Proficient in use of Great Plains, Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook
- Understands and complies with company policies and procedures
Required Experience
- Inventory Accounting
- Manufacturing Accounting
- CPA/CMA a plus but not required
